Welcome to June’s edition of My Refined Style Link Up … a link up just for us over 40 babes!
And I’m putting to rest the myth that bloggers never wear the same thing twice by styling my tunic dress seen in April’s link up in a different more summery way for June.
My mind has been on vacation lately, so I decided to do a vacation look with this tunic.
I’m not usually happy showing this much leg actually, but by the beach or around the pool, my comfort level expands with the temperatures. (Even to the point of wearing a bikini, but don’t ever expect a photo of that!)
Here are both looks side by side. With black leggings and a black fringe bag, the look is more spring and even will be cute for fall, right? And then with cork wedges and a straw bag, the look is very summery.
Plus I’m rocking a cool braid that I wish I could take credit for. One of my favorite students did this for me last week during finals. No, I couldn’t give her extra credit but she got brownie points in spades!
The flower was my addition. (I know, big deal!)
Also, here’s a beauty secret/tip. In the summer I use Jergen’s Glow every day and Sally Hansen’s Airbrush Legs for special occasions. If you have ghostly white legs and also try to stay out of the sun, give them a try. Of course the funny thing is that in these pics I’m using both products … and this is how tan I look. You can only imagine how white I am without anything!
Memorial Day has come and gone, and this teacher is on her vacation, so heck with waiting for summer solstice, I’m claiming it’s SUMMER!
Happy summer, Dolls!
