NYE

December 31, 2025

We are all about the very casual New Year’s Eve and I never stay awake until midnight! But … that doesn’t mean I can’t glam up a bit!

Shop This Look:

I’m loving these fabulous booties from Franco Sarto! The color is oxblood red, and I love that’s it’s a more unusual color …although it is available in neutral shades as well. These boots were a Christmas present from my sweet friend, Lynn. She has them in a pretty chocolate brown shade. And we both agree that they’re super comfortable even though they have a bit of a heel!

I’m also wearing my favorite Kut from the Kloth jeans in the Kelsey cut, with a classic black turtleneck, and carrying my new favorite crossbody bag.

To add a bit of glam to the look, I added my fuzzy leopard coat (this one is cute!) and small diamond hoop earrings. I’m ready to celebrate 2026 and all the fabulous things it will bring!

How will you be celebrating? What will you be wearing? I’d love to know!

Coming up in the new year, let’s talk about building a workable wardrobe and I’ll share some of my favorite (and free) tools for doing just that!

Fun & Fashion,

About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is me talking to you, other middle aged women like me who are over 40, but not over fashion.  We still want to look beautiful and stylish.  We still want to have fun with trends.  And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. We all have our own shapes and bodies, parts we’d like to cover and parts we still don’t mind showing off a bit.  This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce! Kendra Scott statement earrings and a braided leather belt finish off the look.
