Afffair at NYFW

I decided to end my New York Fashion Week coverage with my first show of the season.  I had just flown in Thursday evening and only had time to change, grab a snack, and head off for my first show.  This season, I started with Afffair, a collection evening wear, full of glamorous details!

 

 

If this collection is any indication, feathers are going to be BIG for spring 2020!  Also keep an eye out for ruffles and floral appliques. The color palette was full of soft and icy pastels.  It was a beautiful collection and a fab way to start my Spring/Summer 20 fashion week experience!

The Afffair label is the creation of Rufat Ismayil from Azerbaijan.  He started out as a model, but is passion for fashion lead him to move to Istanbul to launch his own label.  Rufat is involved in all areas of the design process at Afffair.  Personally I’m intrigued by his designs and excited to watch his future unfold!
