From the moment the disco music starting blaring in Spring Studios, I knew that the Son Jung Wan show was going to be just my cup of tea!
The party vibe continued with daring mixed textures, fur and feathers, and lots of sparkle! The silhouettes offered bold shoulders and sleeves. It’s no surprise that fishnets are big right now, but Son Jung Wan added fabulous sparkly embellishments “caught” in the net!
Son Jung Wan showed a lot of bold bright colors, including several fearless shades of yellow. Also on the runway was a fun teal and purple combination that looked fresh and cool. Mixed in with the bright colors, a soft pink also made an appearance with fabulous textures to add interest. I was particularly smitten with the pink faux fur dress. On top of all that, the sparkly looks took metallic to a whole new level … think an outfit made out of a disco ball!
Son Jung Wan was born and raised in South Korea. She opened a boutique in the trendy Gangnam area in 1986 and started showing at New York Fashion Week in 2011. She has continued to be a dazzling influence in the fashion world.
“SON JUNG WAN is perfect at capturing the dual nature of women, who want pretty, feminine dresses sometimes, and at other times want to stride out in chic, sexy look.”
Be sure to check out the SON JUNG WAN website. I’m definitely dying to add a few of these sensational pieces to my closet!
