Ready for the best sale of the year? Oh I know some people will argue with me on that, but when I look at what I bought last year and how much I wore everything, I can’t help but think it’s one of my very favorite times to spend money all year long!
About the Sale
What makes the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale different from any other sale? Instead of items going on sale at the end of the season, the items on sale are brand new arrivals! It’s the best time to stock up on basics, as well as try out some trends.
In Nordstrom’s own words …
“The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the retailer’s biggest and best sale of the year, featuring brand new arrivals on sale for a limited time. On July 19, beginning 12:30pm EST online and local opening times in-store, customers will find the hottest trends plus all the essentials from a variety of their favorite brands. In more sizes than ever before, women can shop brands like Vince, AG Jeans, rag & bone, Nike, Spanx and more. The Anniversary Sale is also the best time to shop exclusive deliveries from Nordstrom Made brands including Treasure & Bond, BP., Tucker + Tate, Halogen and Zella. Customers will find hundreds of beauty exclusives from brands like La Mer, Jo Malone, Lancome, Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford and Trish McEvoy. For men, featured brands include Hugo Boss, AG, Adidas, Ksubi, Cole Haan, Ted Baker and more. There’s something for everyone in every category including apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty, active and home.”

What I Bought Last Year
This past year, you’ve seen me wear these items again and again … and again! How many times have you seen this jacket and these boots and jeans?!
Sneak peek at what will be on sale this time around:
1. Think ahead about what you want. There will be amazing fall items as part of the sale so think ahead! But also, if you’re like me, you’re going to want something that you can wear right away as well. I always make sure to buy at least one summer-friendly item!
2. If you think you want it, order it. Things always sell out. Sometimes they get restocked and sometimes they don’t.
3. Unfortunately, plan on some online snafus. When the sale opens up to all card holders and again when the sale opens up to the public, the traffic on the website is crazy and often things are slow or glitchy. Last year I accidentally placed my order 11 times!
Stay posted for dressing room selfies next week, along with the scoop on what I bought, of course.
So, what do you think, Ladies? Is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale something you’re looking forward to, or is it not really your cup of tea?
