Red, Peter, & Blue

March 27, 2014

Making a post this morning just for Tres Chic Thursday!  Check out the fabulous fashion link up party here!

Last weekend the weather was so gorgeous here that in a premature burst of spring fever, I put away all my winter coats. Well, this week Mother Nature has something else in mind.  It’s chilly and rainy, so out comes the winter gear again!

This pretty cobalt blue coat is from my mom’s closet.  I miss her and wearing her things makes me feel close to her.  (If you haven’t already, you could check out my post “Remembering My Fashionable Mom” here.)

I’m also wearing my Peter Pilotto for Target floral top that I love!  Link  here.  Hey, I just saw that it’s on clearance!  I need to look and see what else is a bargain right now!

Carrying one of my very favorite bags, and if you’re a regular reader, you’ve no doubt seen this purse a lot!  It’s London Fog and I got it at Marshall’s.

And God only knows what those crazy dogs are up to in the background!

Also wearing Gap Skinnies, rolled up over black booties.

You can see the print better in this shot.

And here’s a pretty view of my neighborhood.  I love mountain living!  Especially because the town (and shopping!) is only 10 minutes away!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday Eve!

Dawn Lucy

Oh thanks so much! I saw the top is on sale now, so maybe I'll get the pretty green one too!

I love all your pictures and outfits. Just a hint: make them larger! They'll be an even greater success.

    Have a lovely Friday!

Thanks, Patricia! I'm new to this and appreciate help and suggestions! I take some pictures at closer range but my vanity always likes the long view better. LOL. Is there a way to make the actual photos bigger? I'll look into that! OXOX

Dawn, I just checked out that Peter collection. Some very cute things. I'm wondering if they still have them in stores. Love the shirts and dresses.

Nice you wear your mom's coat. I did that with my grandfather's golf cardigans for a long time. Made me feel close to him. Her coat looks good on you and I'm sure she would be be happy knowing you have it and love it too Lovely pics of your home too. x

Aww, thanks, Dear. I've seen a few Pilotto things left in Target, but not too much. There's some clearance items online!
      Love you!

I just love that color combination and it just totally suits you. The jacket is amazing. Your mother must have been a very special person. And the cool glasses she was wearing in that one pic! Sabina OceanblueStyle
