Okay sure … it will get to about 87 degrees later today, but this morning I’m pretending it’s actually fall in this cozy outfit!

If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember that I wore this new skirt last week for a day of teaching with a black sleeveless top, which was obviously more appropriate for the weather. But I couldn’t wait to style this new skirt in a total fall vibe way!
This skirt is a new arrival at Nordstrom and is made by Vero Moda and I’m loving it. The fabric is really nice and is partially recycled, so eco-friendly as well! There is a slit, but it’s only a bit above the knee line. It’s still plenty modest for teaching. And the print is a cornucopia of pretty fall shades!
I styled the skirt with my pumpkin colored turtleneck from Everlane (they no longer have this exact color, but I found a beautiful one by Ralph Lauren). Knee high boots in black suede and a black cardigan complete the look. I’m carrying my fav Strathberry tote bag as well. I got it in the summer, but it’s really so perfect for fall as well.
Am I the only one super excited for fall fashion? Of course the best thing is to find pieces that you can wear now in warmer weather and then style it for cooler weather when the fall coolness finally get here!
