This was my first time getting invited to the Rebecca Minkoff event at New York Fashion Week. To make it even more exciting, the brand was showing their Fall/Winter collection so we can all shop it right away!
Isn’t that red faux fur coat gorgeous?!
Loving the pink and red color palette especially, but of course that’s just so me! Lots of animal print too and I’m loving the mix of shades. I’m all about the plum shade of leopard print for myself, but the icy blue is beautiful too. The silhouettes lean toward puffy sleeves and a cinched in waist … think 80’s vibes. And the collection has a lot of leather accents pieces, along with metallics and wools.
Since this was a presentation rather than a runway show, the models were posed as guests mingled around. I always appreciate a designer using plus size models. Now if can just get them to throw in some older models as well, right Ladies?
One of everything in the pink/red room please .. and thanks! What do you think you would wear?
In case you missed it, check out my review of Son Jung Wan, Taoray Wang, my Ruti outfit and my Chico’s look! Much more New York Fashion Week coverage to come.
Also on a personal note: some of you know I lost my kitty this week and am grieving. Thanks for all your love and support. Sometimes sharing fashion fun feels like a great distraction and sometimes it’s hard, so I’m just going to trust my instincts and feelings on this one. I might be slower than usual rolling out my NYFW coverage and I’m sure you’ll understand. I do have some fabulous booties to share with you tomorrow though, so stay posted.

Me too!! On my WANT list! 🙂
What a fantastic collection! Love the red and pink and I am so glad that pleated skirts are still everywhere!
Yes to red and pink! I like the pleated skirts too! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
I like the shirtdress and blazer, not a look you see often. That pink dress in the 2nd photo is wonderful. This collection echo’s an 80’s influence with a smattering of early 90’s emergence. I love it!
Yes, I agree … 80’s and early 90’s … it was really fun to see a collection that could be shopped right away. Every other show was for Spring 2020, so those clothes won’t be available for awhile. I’m eyeing that pink fuzzy coat! I need another faux fur coat like a hole in my head though. 😀
