This cute little spring dress was one of my purchases for the Mexico trip that got canceled. I did try to style it for winter with mixed results, but now that it’s spring, I’m loving it with these warm weather accessories!
Hi, Friends. As some of you know, I had an emergency appendectomy last week. It was a scary experience, but I’ll be fine and this week is all about healing.
I thought about just skipping a blog post, but then I thought why not just go ahead and share what I’m actually wearing this week. I’m living in nap dresses that don’t touch my abdomen. Hopefully you don’t have any surgeries on the horizon, but there can be lots of reasons why we all might need a tummy-friendly nap dress to wear sometimes. A lot of people have bloating issues from a variety of causes, like gas, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, diverticulitis, and so many more. It can be a good comfortable closet staple and I thought I’d share my two favorites.
Yes, this is a repeat photo. I was not up to modeling this week.
I’ve been wearing two dresses over and over. One is the Mordenmiss Women’s Cotton Linen Dress, an Amazon find that is surprising good quality. I’ve washed it and worn it every other day this week and it still looks great!
Also I’ve been wearing my Loveappella vacation dress around the house with a cozy cardigan. The empire waistline skims over the tummy area and the soft jersey knit is really comfortable.
And as long as we’re getting personal, these Auden Laser Cut panties are hands down the most comfortable underwear. They are my favorite always and this week they are ALL I will wear! Wide-hip/big-butt approved!
Okay, that’s all from me this week, Ladies. Hope you are having a fun week and maybe even getting a peek of some spring weather!
Fun & Fashion,
About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is ME talking to YOU, other middle-aged women who are over 40, but not over fashion. We still want to look beautiful and stylish. This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, including style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce.

I bought this Loveappella sundress for our Mexico trip. If you are planning a warm weather vacation, I highly recommend this dress. It’s flattering, comfortable, and the jersey knit won’t wrinkle in your suitcase.
On our winter road trip, we spent an evening in Mendocino, an adorable little town right on the Pacific Ocean.
We had planned to sleep in our RV that evening, but the weather was so cold, we decided on a last minute hotel stay instead. The Mendocino Hotel & Garden Suites was a historic and charming place. We even got a room with a view of the ocean!
I love a road trip! I love just driving (oh, okay … riding and letting the hubby drive) and watching the scenery go by. I love exploring new places, including parks, mountains, beaches, and especially cute little towns!
When our Mexican vacation got canceled, we decided on a last minute RV road trip and without much planning, I put together a winter road trip capsule wardrobe. Here’s what worked, what didn’t, and what I would change for next time.
