I’m not in the habit of asking brands to collaborate. Like an old fashioned “Rules” girl, I prefer when they come to me. But my enthusiasm bubbled over for Michal Golan Jewelry and I asked and they readily agreed.
Loving so many of Michal Golan designs, the decision of what to pick was difficult. But I was over the moon excited with my choice when this stunner arrived in the mail ….
This is the Medium Silver Evil Eye Necklace with Blue Crystal Center. I love the mix of silver and gold tones and the the beautiful aqua blue stones.
All of Michal Golan’s jewelry is designed and handmade at Michal Golan’s studios in New York. The pieces are made of high quality materials. This necklace is brass and sterling silver with Swarovski crystals and glass beads.
I love how the necklace can be easily adjusted to from 16 inches to 20 inches long. (I think I have it at about 18 inches in these photos.)
The necklace comes beautifully packaged with the story of the designer, which you can also read here.
Now can we just talk about the cool mythology behind the evil eye design? Wearing an evil eye, also called a nazar amulet, will protect you against others’ envious ill wishes. In an industry prone to occasional envy issues, couldn’t we all use the extra protection?
Don’t you love how I coordinated my toe nail polish with the necklace? (Yeah, I only wish I was that organized. Here’s to happy coincidences!)
A big thanks to my bestie, Lynn, for taking these photos for me! I usually do all my own pictures with a tripod and timer cam setting, but it was so nice to have someone behind the camera (though we had to break for fits of giggles here and there).
So my only complaint about Michal Golan jewelry is that I like it too much and have already started shopping for my next piece!

It's really so comfy! Thanks Dear! 🙂
I totally understand what you mean!! It is such a refreshing break to actually have someone take the pictures instead of hanging out with the tripod…especially since I can't see without my reading glasses, so I am constantly putting them on and taking them off to see what I have done so far!

Yes, all on my own! I tried to get my hubby into photography but he was not going for it! 😉
Really beautiful necklace! Being Greek the evil eye is something we all wear and not only in necklaces! I really like your outfit too, the way you paired those sandals and the dress!

Ooooh, look at you with all your stylish, lounging shots. Very Greta Garbo, I love it! You should do it more often. So demure, yet so sexy. And I can see why you choose what you did. That really is a stunning piece.

This necklace is very lovely, and I love how you stepped out and reached out to Michael Golin (I love to reach out to companies here and there too, and the worst they can say is 'no' right?).
