The Fab 40s are rocking menswear-inspired looks this month!
Isn’t there something cool and interesting about the blending of gender traditions?
If you’re new to the party, The Fab 40s are a group of 40-something style bloggers who take on a trend each month and make it their own.
This month Sheela made the choice of the theme and … as a new feature … the choice of a guest blogger as well! (Keep reading to see who is joining us this month ….)
I went with a little pinstriped vest over a basic tee. and added some necklace layering and my cool new shades.

Love the look, Dawn! I have always had a thing for menswear and my closet seems to validate that 🙂 Like how you kept things clean and simple. Très Chic!

I just commented at Jennie's blog about how much I loved her outfit today. You did an excellent job with yours too, Dawn. I also love that it is monochromatic. Great vest and those jeans fit you so well. Welcome by and link up with me today. Thanks. =))

Love all the different menswear looks. Your waistcoat looks great on top of the tee and your sandals are gorgeous.
Thanks Lornamai! OXOX
Great B&W menswear inspired look! I love the "borrowed from the boys but I look better in it than you" kind of feeling…kind of empowering.

Gah! I love all of these looks! I just posted an androgynous outfit of my own last week (http://www.shelbeeontheedge.com/androgynous-chic-and-white-jeans/). I was uncertain of the menswear look at first, but once I got it going, I felt super confident and empowered all day long! Yay for gaining self-confidence as each year passes and feeling fabulous over 40!
Love it…everyone looks so cute! I am a big fan of tailored accents and playing with the hard/soft contrast.
