It’s always hard to dress when the calendar says fall, your heart says fall, but the weather says summer! This was my dilemma dressing for a lunch with the fabulous Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista.

I decided to wear some fall pieces, like these green croc boots, but then I had to resort to a white tee and a sleeveless vest to stay weather-appropriate. This old Gap vest is getting a lot of wear right now. I’m so glad I never got rid of it! Utility vests and jackets are in style so don’t forget to see what you have in your closet before you go shopping. If you don’t have a utility vest or jacket, I would suggest adding one to your collection. It’s a classic that never goes out of style and comes really INTO style again and again. I added my fab fall Strathberry bag as well! The jeans were a Marshalls find. I like the look, though if I had to style it over again, I would’ve added a belt.
I apologize for the grainy photos. I just used my iphone, but usually they look better than this. Next time, back to my camera, promise!
