A Detacher is a creative and unique brand created and designed by Mona Kowalska.
I’ve entitled this particular look Little House on the Prairie meets city chic!
And braids are still a big trend, Ladies. How come I never learned to make a decent one?
I read an article about Mona Kowalska and find her fascinating. She’s a big believer in staying creative and designing what she loves. She’s happy to keep her business small, the staff smaller, and thinks everyone should have a 4 day work week. Her buyer is a small niche market and she likes it that way.
The first small batch of photos are mine and then I used the brand’s PR photos.
What do you think, dear readers? There are definitely some pieces I would love to wear. And that big pink cocoon?! I wish I was wearing that right now!

Next best thing to attending a fashion show! Thanks for sharing! Not sure I love most of the outfits but some of the pieces I would like as separates. Although maybe I should start braiding my hair! XO Susan http://www.themidlifefashionista.com
Haha .. I agree .. some of the pieces would work better for me with something else too! Thanks so much for stopping by! OXOX
That looks like a real nice collection. Don’t worry, I can’t do braids either!

Some of the looks are pure editorial but I can see how separate pieces could be worn in real life. Thank you for the photos and a link-up

Detacher sure is a fun brand. I love her oversized ruffles and fun patterns on her neutral/brown pieces. Those skinny braids are fun, too.
A brand-new linkup is currently on the blog. I’d love for you to linkup this great post and share your scrumptious style with my readers. Thanks and enjoy the weekend!

Ada =)
I’ll be over! Thanks Ada! 🙂
I’ve never been into any type of “Fashion Week” stuff because when I see the pictures the outfits all look so weird. I try to imagine just wearing a single piece or taking away a certain element, and it still doesn’t help. As for the braids, too young for me, and if I were to braid and twist into a bun, I’d look too old. So I’ll have to pass on that too! Thanks for the link up!
Yeah, it’s not for everyone. I like the inspiration, though it’s not always easy to translate into something to wear for my day to day life! 🙂
Add me to the list of those that can’t braid! Interesting designer – I love her outlook towards her business. Her overall look isn’t my style, but there are some interesting pieces. Have a great weekend!
There are many pieces in her collection that I would oh so happily wear, Dawn, so thank you for the intro 🙂
p/s My weekly Project Sister Act Link-Up is now live on the blog, and I’d love for you to come by and join in xoxo
I loved how eclectic this collection is. So creative and fun.

Ruffles ain’t typically my thing, dearest Dawn…but these A Detacher looks are WAY cool!! There’s definitely a sort of “prairie-chic” esthetic going on – second cousin to boho, right? – and an unexpected edginess, too. I could see myself wearing that first look with the bib-style dress over the cuffed denim…and I also really like the ruffle-embellished blouse with those double-belted jeans. My fave piece, though (just by a hair!) is that slouchy jumpsuit!! Yum!! XOXO

I agree that that first look is an update on Little House of the Prairie!
Ooo! Love those braids!
What a fun fashion show! I love braids! Such fun looks. I love that gold ish looking skirt!
