My first outfit of New York Fashion Week was this effortlessly chic look by Ruti, one of my favorite designers.
This is a paid collaboration with Ruti, a designer I’m crazy about!
Ruti Zisser is an American Isreali fashion designer from the San Francisco Bay Area. You might remember this fabulous Ruti outfit that I also wore in this post as well.
The more my sense of style evolves, the more I appreciate the high quality and interesting designs of independent fashion designers, those who have a strong vision and aren’t trying to be all things to the masses. Ruti has a unique modern style that is sophisticated without ever sacrificing comfort.
Ruti says,
I have three rules for design:
It must be COOL. You don’t need to sacrifice the cool factor to achieve a look that is classic and sophisticated. Our clothes lend a smart and effortless touch to the woman on the go.
It must be FLATTERING. Our clothes are designed to flatter a woman over the age of 35 without making her look like she’s trying too hard.
It must be PRACTICAL. 80% of my collection are clothes that I wear everyday. 20% of my collection is aspirational – it’s for the woman I daydream of being.
Love that viewpoint!
I reached out to Ruti to see if they were interested in a collaboration for New York Fashion Week, I loved the outfit that I picked out so much that I wore it my first day there!
Ruti Black and White Tristan Colorblock Tunic
This tunic will turn heads with it’s striking black and white colorblock and asymmetric hem. Cool without trying too hard is how I would describe this piece, along with all of Ruti’s amazing designs.
Ruti Monica Ponti Leggings
The perfect high quality and versatile leggings, the Monica can be worn with tunics, sweaters, dresses, and skirts. Made of viscose, polyester, and spandex, the fit is comfortable and very flattering.
