NYFW – Fall Florals & Fishnets – WIW Day 2

September 17, 2017

So here’s my outfit for my Day 2 of New York Fashion Week. I’m loving the darker florals for fall!

Jolie by Edward Spiers

This photo was taken by the wonderful Denton Taylor, NYC street style photographer.

I think the black velvet choker with the long dark floral dress was a natural combination for me.  I wore this same combination often in the early 90’s, sometimes with my Doc Martin combat boots.  This time around though, I added some of-the-moment styling with fishnets and suede block heels shoes.  (Read the full review on these shoes here and get a discount code.)

My Marc Jacob’s leather tote bag is my fashion week workhorse, both this year and last year.  Nothing looks as luxe and yet can hold SO. MUCH. STUFF. I often drool over smart little bags, but when it comes right down to it, I really like to carry a small suitcase with me most of the time! Investing in a high quality neutral bag will serve you for years to come, Ladies.

I’m thinking this pretty dress would look great with an obi belt too!  That’s a big trend on the runway and I’d like to find ways to work it into my wardrobe.  I’ll keep you posted when I find a good one!

I am totally cracking up right now because the minute I saw this it reminded me of an outfit I wore in the early 90’s (minus the fishnets which btw I LOVE). The darker florals are so pretty, really wishing I had kept some of my clothes from back then, lol! You look great!

I am going to shop today and you just reminded me of buying fish net tights!

Just found your post over on Jess’s linkup and I had to come over and tell you how much I love your dress. I wish it wasn’t sold out already! Dark vintage inspired florals are my weakness. Have always gravitated toward them and they certainly were plentiful in the 90s. But I think they’re timeless and feminine.

And those purple shoes are beyond fabulous. Thanks for the link to that company’s site. They’ve got some great footwear.

This fun outfit is perfect for NYFW. I love florals for Fall especially in midi dresses. The fishnets and funky block heel pumps make this so cool, Dawn Lucy!

Welcome by and share your awesome style with my new linkup this week, which goes live every Thursday. =) Thanks and enjoy the weekend!!
