I’ve made a commitment to be sure to buy pieces that I know I’ll wear multiple times and to share different ways of styling things as well. Today I’m sharing my Modern Utility Jumpsuit styled for fall. Check out the spring/summer styling in case you missed it.
I was excited to wear this jumpsuit to teach this fall. It’s so comfortable, chic, and fun! Of course I’m only teaching from home right now, but this jumpsuit still works well for that, as well as some weekend fun!
I added a turtleneck sweater to the mix for more warmth and a bit of fall color. My combat boots seemed like a fun and funky choice, but I think almost any booties would work! I took off the tie that comes with the jumpsuit and added a belt bag. Also wearing my new Holland hoops from Kendra Scott.
Style tip: Don’t ever think your “one and done” pieces can’t be styled new ways! Dresses and jumpsuits can be super versatile with some accessories and a little imagination.
Once I put this look together, I started singing “Are we not men? We are DEVO” in my head .. an old Devo song from the late 70’s. Once I had that in my head, of course I knew I needed to add funky sunglasses to the mix as well! If this look is a bit too edgy for you, just skip the studded sunglasses and add a more simple boot. Viola, still a cool look, but without the edge.
Also a reminder that this jumpsuit is from Everlane, a brand that is dedicated to sustainability and fair work conditions. The turtleneck was an end of the season sale item from Ninety Percent, another eco-friendly brand. I’m trying to make more and more responsible choices, though I know I have a ways to go.
Are you trying to buy pieces that you can wear multiple ways? Have any ideas for us? I always love to hear from my readers! About anything, actually! 😁
