Let’s talk about this AMAZING Bianca Zidik coat I wore on Day 1 of New York Fashion Week!
On my first day of New York Fashion Week, I was super excited to wear this wild coat! I’ve been waiting for months to see and wear it, and finally it was game time!
First of all, this coat started with an email conversation with Bianca Zidik. You might remember her from this September fashion week post! I had in my mind some sort of patchwork or colorblock faux fur coat. From that, Bianca’s creativity took over, and this fabulous monster was born!
Because the coat was such a statement, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple. I went with a navy v-neck sweater and my favorite Frame denim jeans. I also bought blue velvet booties (found on sale at Nordstrom Rack!) and this cute little faux fur bag (from Shopbop, but sold out now.) Oh, and I just had to accent the look with some oversize pink marbled acrylic Cult Gaia hoops earrings and some fun pink sunnies!
The first day was a very busy one! I went with Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista to the Laurence and Chico show, which was super fun. We spotted Ms. Jay Alexander which always makes me happy since I’ve been a huge fan since the days of America’s Next Top Model. And then I was off to Jiri Kalfar and Hogan McLaughlin with Laura of Have Need Want. Between shows, we got to go backstage and meet Paulina Porizkova, one the THE most super of the supermodels of the 80’s and 90’s. Super exciting and she couldn’t have been nicer. Then it was the last show of the day, Badgley Mischka. Frankly I was exhausted from my red eye flight and a full day, but there was NO way I was going to miss that! On top of being thrilled to see the collection, my friends Cathy, Laura, and Kali would all be there too. Be sure to stay posted for more in depth coverage of all these shows.
Also Friends, I can pretty much die happy now, because I made it on a NYFW street style round up! (OMG!)
