I love a design aesthetic that combines natural elements and modern style. So whenJORD asked me to review one of their wooden watches I was on cloud nine!
Jord is Swedish for earth or land, which is the perfect name for a company that uses beautiful sustainable sourced wood from around the world to handcraft their amazing timepieces.
A team of artists, designers, and professional watchsmiths work together to create unique watches from maple, bamboo, blackwood, cherry, zebrawood, loa, and sandalwood.
I chose the exquisite Sidney series maple and rose gold watch, with Swarovski crystals, and Seiko quartz chronograph stopwatch movement.
How gorgeous is this watch? So chic with it’s contemporary architectural design!
I kept my outfit simple and modern to show off my arm party with my Jord timepiece as the superstar of the show!
So on point right now with it’s bold substantial style.
Even their packaging is artistic and beautiful …
Thanks so much to JORD for gifting me this amazing timepiece. All opinions are my own as always. The brand was a pleasure to work with, including outstanding attention to customer service.
This watch is just one of many stunning beauties. Check out the JORD website to see all their masterpieces! And be sure to notice their selection of handsome men’s watches as well. (I think my husband has been hinting!)
Last weekend my husband took me to see Rain, a Beatles tribute band. I thought something a bit psychedelic was in order, so I wore my Free People sweater coat. It’s an old favorite … seen in this Feb 2014 post.
Outfit details
Sweater – Free People
Distressed jeans – Old Navy
Booties – Vince Camuto
Bag – Nine West
Purple tee – Target
Necklace – Lucky brand
My husband got into the spirit and wore this rainbow Robert Graham shirt. Doesn’t he look handsome?
The show was great and we had a blast!
Wouldn’t Rebecca of Red Tag Chic Los Angeles fit right in with our boho vibe? Loving this Stevie Nicks inspired ensemble she shared with us last week!
And I’m positive Steve Nicks would also approve of this magical look from Andrea of Boho Bunnie!
How lovely is Annette of Lady of Style in this pretty blue tunic?
And Glenda of So What to Twenty is looking like walking sunshine in this beautiful yellow dress!
Thanks so much everyone for linking up last week! I’m so happy to say that Fun Fashion Friday is growing every week! Have fun linking up, please link back, and be sure to visit and comment on some other blogs so we can all feel the LOVE!
I’ve been finding tons of cool tees at Sun Frog Shirts for gifts and for myself.
I bought this one for my husband. If you’ve ever had a hyper husky in your life, you can relate.
I almost bought this funny tee for my dog loving pal, but picked another super cute one instead. (Can’t show you because I haven’t given it to her yet!)
More clever things for the animal lover in your life at Sun Frog Pet Tees.
And I bought this for my very favorite math teacher …
(I think I have a thing for animals in sunglasses!)
Super cute stuff!

There’s a time in every teacher’s summer when the new school year starts to loom large … we start thinking of lesson plans in the shower, planning what books to teach while doing laundry, and wake up in a cold sweat from nightmares about uncontrollable kids! Then there’s the deciding what to wear on the first day of school. If you’re following me on Instagram, you’ve probably already voted for a first day outfit, but if you’re not following me … well, why not?! Follow me! (@fashionshouldbefun) We’re having fun over there!
I’m sure to do several posts on back-to-school outfits, but I felt like doing a fun outfit post today! And what’s more fun than leopard print, purple suede, and a new fav designer bag?!
Wearing an Old Navy perfect tank and distressed Flirt jeans, Merona (Target) leopard print cardigan, Aerosoles “Dolled Up” pumps in purple suede, Ralph Lauren sunglasses, and my new fabulous MK bag!
These new suede pumps are so comfortable that I could wear them anywhere.
Of course I added some arm candy, including vintage cuffs, a J. Crew gold cuff, and a wrap bracelet from Jest Jewels.
I love the color of my new Michael Kors Fulton Chain bag.
MK calls it “vintage yellow” … what would you call it, Dolls?
Aww … the calm before the storm that is the first week of school. I’ll try to keep up on my blogging, but if I do fall a bit out of the loop, you’ll know why. And I will be back! I have some fab collaborations just around the corner … think FALL!
Didn’t quite make my mark on this last shot, but I liked the photo anyway. You can see our little cabin nestled in the California redwoods!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog …
and enjoy every precious moment of summertime, my sweet fashion dolls!
