Definitely one of my favorite things about summer is getting time to hang with my girls! Last week I got to have lunch with Cathy of Bay Area Fashionista at Flights in Campbell. Cute atmosphere, good food, and fabulous company!
To be honest, I didn’t plan on making a blog post about this outfit, but I had so many DMs about my Janis Joplin tee that I thought I’d go ahead and do an outfit post!
Flared jeans … tie-dye … platforms … can you tell how much I’m loving this 70’s trend?
Of course with any retro vibe pieces, you need to make the outfit your own. You don’t want to look like you’ve dressed “70s” for a Halloween party, right?
I think adding a modern bag and trendy messy up do works here. And check out this cool deconstructed back detail …
And Dolls, have you noticed how long your legs look in flares?!
Hello?!
Outfit details & Shopping Ideas
Top – thrifted and no label … another fun mystery find at a local thrift store!
As a teacher on summer break, I’m loving having the time to comb through racks of thrift store junk to find a hidden jewel here and there!
No time for that, busy ladies? Here’s a few fab online finds too …
And my wrap beautiful bracelet is from Rocksbox! Look for my Rocksbox review coming soon!
Some “fashionspiration” from last week’s link up …
Leelo of Beauty by Miss L is rocking this sophisticated jogger pant look.
Loving adorable Jen of Librarian of Life and Style is looking summertime chic in this pretty dress, denim jacket, and cute straw bag.
And the fabulous Tina of Tickled Pink Woman looks stunning in this modern black and white look with pops of red and blue.
Now on a personal note … my kitty Pumpkin has been very sick with serious kidney and intestinal issues. I would appreciate any prayers and/or good thoughts you could send his way. He’s the sweetest little guy.
Thanks for your support & please enjoy the link up!
So Dolls, I found another cool website for shopping called Showinbuy … lots of pretty choices for inexpensive prices! Showinbuy has cute, trendy, and fun pieces, along with chic accessories. They also have quite a selection of special occasion dresses should your social calendar be way more exciting than mine.
You know I love a California bohemian vibe and what says boho better than rainbow tie-dye?
My usually oblivious husband even poked his head out the window while I was getting pics and said “hey, I like that.” (Translated into fashionsita speak that means “OMG, I’m obsessed … that dress is everything!”
I can’t wait to try to style it other ways as well. I even think it would make a cool beach cover up!
I’d like to thank Showinbuy for gifting me this gorgeous dress. They were a joy to work with, including friendly, helpful customer service. They even ship internationally. All opinions here are my own, as always. Keep your eye peeled for another pretty Showinbuy piece featured soon!
We’ve had amazing weather lately in San Jose. I feel a little guilty enjoying it so much, because first of all, a lot of my blogging buddies and readers are still buried in snow, and second of all, California desperately needs rain. But since I have no control over either situation, I’m just gonna enjoy the sunny 80 degree days!
And one way I’m enjoying the weather is by wearing bright pretty patterns for spring!
