The 70’s were such a fun burst of colors … mustard yellow, rusty orange, and avocado green. It’s hard for me to wear yellow and rust close to my face, but I love them. Probably something about growing up in the 70’s … watching TV in a bright gold chair, wearing my rust colored Ditto corduroys, and baking cookies with mom in our avocado green oven!
I was happy to hear that Pantone’s color of the year this year is GREENERY, a spring green! I spent 2016 pouting over Pantone’s picks of Rose Quartz and Serenity last year. Not that they aren’t lovely shades, but I can’t wear either of them very well. Green, I can wear! So it surprised me when I shopped my closet for this post and found so little green there. I did find this cozy grandpa sweater and these fabulous Kendra Scott earrings though!
