Beaded sweater & FUN FASHION FRIDAY LINK UP!

January 30, 2015
Welcome to the FUN FASHION FRIDAY link up party!  So excited that last week’s maiden voyage was such a success and thanks so much to all the fabulous ladies who linked up!

Here’s my look for the party today …

Close up of the bead trim …

When I came out in this sweater, the hubby said, “Where in the world do you even buy something like that?!” LOL.  I love his funny reactions to my fashion sense.  And I’m going to take it as a compliment whether or not he meant it as one!

So where do you buy a crazy fabulous sweater with ribbon and bead trim?  The thrift store!

I had planned to pair the sweater with some flared jeans and clogs for a totally 70’s look, but the proportions just didn’t work. I went with skinnies and flats and was pleased with the results. What do you think?

The very best part of the sweater?  It makes a charming little clink & tinkle when I walk! I wanted to do the twist all day! Hey, did I ever mention fashion can be fun?!

And speaking of fun, I thought it would be cool to feature a few of my favorite fun looks from last week’s link up. So hard to just pick a few!  But here they are …

Suzanne Carillo of Suzanne Carillo Style Files looking retro and dapper.
Annette of Lady of Style looking perfect for a walk in the snow!

Tina of Tickled Pink Woman in her charming Downton Abbey inspired look.

Okay, so now on to this week’s link up fun!  Please link back and don’t forget to follow along on Bloglovin so you never miss a party!

Of course a thrift store or eBay – a cool shopping place that allows you to think outside the box. Your sweater is Ka-ute! I can see wearing it a million ways!

You're lucky you saw this sweater first, dearest Dawn…otherwise, it would definitely be hanging in MY closet right now!! ;D That embroidered and bead-fringed hem is to-die-for; and together with your skinny jeans and flats, makes for an adorable gamine/boho combination!! P.S. I'm "all in" for Fun Fashion Friday…can you believe it's spring in Vancouver already?! XOXO

A lot of the 70 is coming back now. Weird in a way.I feel like dressing like my mother when I wear '70 items ( I was born in 71) It has o grow on me…
But I mst say I do like your beaded top and you were very wise to combine it with a skinny, makes it contemporary!

I was born in 66 so yeah the 70's remind me of mom and growing up too! Thanks so much for joining in the fun this Friday!

That's so cute, Dawn Lucy! I do love flared jeans and it seems yet again there will be a great revival this spring. You are right, in this case, skinnies are the better option. Can't wait to wear ballet flats without socks again… we have so much snow here. Well, as you can see on my photo which you kindly selected and posted!! Thank you so much, dear 🙂

Your snow looks so gorgeous but I bet the cold get old on some days. We've been having unseasonably warm weather and I'm loving it but feeling a bit guilty because we're in a drought and I know I should be wishing for a storm! Thanks so much for stopping by!
