Have a fun & fashionable start to your weekend, Dolls!  Just think, next weekend is a long one for most of us!  What are your Thanksgiving plans?  I have a FIVE day weekend, so I’m super excited.  As far as Thanksgiving dinner … well, I’m an awful cook.  The last two years the hubby and I went to an Indian restaurant … delicious food and no crowd! I will be hosting Fun Fashion Friday next week and starting the fun on Thanksgiving Day at 3PM (PT).  It might be a light crowd, I know, but hopefully you’ll stop by to share a T Day outfit pic or your Black Friday haul!

Extra credit question: (sorry … such a teacher ….) … Can anyone recommend a good starter DSLR camera?  I’ve been getting by with my iPhone, but am thinking of asking Santa for a camera this year.

I totally love that dress! We have a mad for plaid thing going here at my house, too. Eldest son loves the lumberjack look and gets upset when the rest of us wear anything plaid. (Just for fun, I'll link up a few older posts with some plaid that I love!)

As for cameras, my husband has a Canon Rebel (older) which does a good job. My advice (given to me from a professional photographer) is to visit a local store and hold different models in your hand. I'm looking to buy a DSLR for my blog work (so I don't have to borrow hubby's) and am considering the Canon 70D. I was going to do the mirrorless camera from Sony, but we want to be able to share the lenses between our cameras. Mirrorless ones are a little smaller, but work fabulously.

Thanks so much for the camera ideas, Laura! So cute about your son's plaid love! 🙂

Love this look paired with those tougher looking boots! As for DSLR, I have the basic Nikon D3200 that I bought from Costco a few years back. It's super easy to use but I haven't moved beyond the auto mode! I think most of them are great and you can't go wrong with anyone of them.

You really nailed it with this one Dawn…love, love, love it! The plaid, the jacket, the booties; yes to it all! I have a Canon Rebel T3i which I love. I've had no problems with it and the pictures are excellent. I am planning on picking up a new lens one of these days. The kit lens is fine, but I want to try a 50mm so I have a few more options.
