Spring Trends Shopping List

March 30, 2021

This spring feels extra special. After a year of wearing joggers around the house, we are finally emerging out into the world again!  Here are some fun new trends for spring to put a little spark into your wardrobe!

Who cares about trends? Well, I do! I like them because to me it’s fun to try new things (or revisit old ones) and it’s a chance to feel relevant and part of the our shared culture.  But I certainly don’t follow trends slavishly like I did in my youth.  Here are 7 news trends that I’m personally loving and I think will fit right into my wardrobe.  Let me know if any of these trends will be making their way into your closet this spring!

High Waisted Wide Jeans

I’ve been praying for the end of skinny jeans for years, and it looks like the fashion gods have finally listened!  Jeans this season are straight or wide leg!

A Sweet Dress

A sweet dress is a spring staple and this season look for a pristine white dress or a soft pretty floral.

Square Toes

Update your sandals with some chic square toes!

Square Necks

Attention all pear shapes: this is your MUST BUY for spring 2021.  A square neck is the perfect balancing element for someone smaller on top.

Platforms

Need some height?  Or maybe you just like the funky vibe like me?

Roomy Shorts

If you’ve been around awhile, you might know that I’m not a huge shorts fan.  However, if I must wear shorts (and some hot days definitely seem to call for them) then I’m all about comfortable roomy shorts!

Loafers

A classic returns.  Lots of good options out there, but I’m a particular fan of the Everlane Modern Loafer.

I’ve been on an Everlane kick big time lately and so many of my spring trends come from their spring collection: Super Soft Distressed Jeans, Easy Jeans, Easy Shorts, the Modern Loafer, and aRibbed Square Neck tee, with a red Ballet Bodysuit on the way as well!  I have a special pair of Proenza Schouler platforms that I’m definitely going to be taking out for a spin this spring. And I have my eyes open for the absolutely perfect sweet spring dress for myself.

What’s on your shopping list, Ladies?  Are you excited about spring fashion?

Also on the blog lately, my review of Jambu’s Alba sandal, along with a coupon code!
