I’m continuing to embrace the brown trend, today with tones of tan and caramel.

Can I help it if brown makes me think of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and cafe au lait? So this tired teacher took herself out for a cappuccino and a chocolate croissant at Eataly at Valley Fair. I’ve had a pasta lunch there before but surprisingly I hadn’t tried their dessert and coffee bar yet. It was such a cute atmosphere and everything was delicious. I’m trying to do more nice things like this for myself lately. If you missed it, here’s a post about a few of my favorite self-care activities!
After I finished my treat, I stopped in Bloomingdales to visit a former student who is the BA&SH manager there (follow her on Instagram @happilyleslie). I always enjoy seeing her and getting her styling tips and ideas. Here are a few of my dressing room diaries pics, with shopping links below.

Do I maybe need this green dress?!! What do you think?
Also on the blog lately, adding a brown v-neck tee to a favorite look and a round up of basics that I live in.

About the blog: Fashion Should Be Fun is me talking to you, other middle aged women like me who are over 40, but not over fashion. We still want to look beautiful and stylish. We still want to have fun with trends. And we don’t need anyone giving us rules, because we’re all different. We all have our own shapes and bodies, parts we’d like to cover and parts we still don’t mind showing off a bit. This is a place for me to share my love of fashion with you, style ideas, tips, trends, and inspiration. I know how liking the way we look can translate into confidence and energy. I know we have so much life left to live and so much adventure ahead of us. Let’s show the world you’re never too old to have fun and be fierce!
