Fashion Week Favorites

September 28, 2023

I’ve been following along all the fashion weeks, from New York to London to Milan, and then Paris. I love checking out the runway shows and finding all of my favorites.

Honestly, I found a lot of the collections were just … okay … this season.  Anyone else feel a bit disappointed in the Spring/Summer 2024 offerings?

But even so, of course, I always find something that I LOVE!  Here are my favorite collections:

Melitta Baumeister

This is a new name to me.  And there’s just something about the oversized look, the platform shoes, the “bat girl” bag that really says to me “badass cool girl.”

Fendi

I found Fendi’s spring color palette just so pretty.  The tan and grey, with bright orange and sky blue accents really caught my eye.

Dion Lee

Something about the overalls worn hanging down like this is really interesting to me!  I also like the hoodie with the long skirt, because it’s kind of a delightful mix of athleisure and dressy.

Prabal Gurung

The intriguing mixes of color and texture create  beautiful dresses. I also adore the oversized gold earring, especially when worn on only one ear.  It seems to me a perfect cool accent to a gorgeous dress.

Peter Do

Peter Do just always looks so expensive and yet so wearable to me.  I love it and if I had the money and the lifestyle, I could see being a regular customer for sure. Did you know that Peter Do is now the creative director for Helmut Lang as well?  Unfortunately, I was not a fan of that collection this time around. But his eponymous brand is always amazing to me!

I also heard that Peter Do will be designing a collection for Banana Republic soon and I’m super excited to see what pieces will be available!

Do any of the designs above speak to you?  Do you have other favorites from the fashion week runway shows? Please feel free to share your opinions in the comments!
